Born on beat to the creative pulse of London’s east end, ThisisWIRED (TIW) has always carried a single goal and ethos.

The ethos being one of originality and organic growth. The goal? To showcase and celebrate the best emerging music around. Now a decade older, wiser and sassier, still with more years in front than behind it, TIW has become one of the finest live nights in the city.

With a strong cult following and a history peppered with some of the fastest-growing names in music, the reality of a word of mouth foundations can be hard to believe!

TIW has further developed the offering into four main areas.

Our signature monthly events have consistently showcased the best in emerging talent. These regular, invite-only events are created for our most loyal fans. They serve as a ‘thank you’ for supporting TIW since day one and encouraging those in the outer circle to invest in the brand also.

These standard format events have grown outward from London to places like New York and Miami. Some notable TIW Nights artists include Grammy Award winning Thundercat, Ed Sheeran, Michael Kiwanuka and Ellie Goulding.

TIW Talks is a rich and engaging experience for true music lovers. Started in the summer of 2016, TIW Talks has proven extremely popular from the outset. The format consists of a recognised or established artist being interviewed by a co-collaborator or fellow musician. Within the talk, they dive into the nitty gritty questions that emerging musicians have always wanted to ask.

From EP launches to boat parties, our TIW Specialised Events are memorable one-off experiences enjoyed by our wider wirey community. Each event is different and will normally centre around a particular theme, artist or seasonal event. Specialised events are normally ticketed or sponsored.

In 2015, TIW teamed up with Supa Academy for Supa Hack – a 3-day experiential event bringing together merchandising, market stalls and music. We brought the music – with live performances and backstage interviews with the likes of Delilah and Lady Leshurr, earning the event national and regional press in the process.

In 2016, we partnered with RedBull Music Academy London to curate a new TIW Mixtape with none other than Chris Loco (Emilé Sande, Raleigh Ritchie, Rita Ora). We invited one wirey artist to the studio each day of the week to record new material, and to top it off, we ran a competition for one lucky artist to feature on an exclusive Chris Loco instrumental. Some of our featured artists include Kojey Radical, Etta Bond, Kiko Bun, Rukhsana Merrise, Roses Gabor and many more.
